At the Museum: Hatfield-McCoy Feud Exhibit
The West Virginia Humanities Council traveling exhibit, The Hatfields & McCoys: American Blood Feud, will open August 11 at Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park, and remain open to the public until October 4. General museum admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children aged 3-12. There is no additional charge to see the exhibit.
Using text, photographs, maps, illustrations, and quotes, the exhibit of four free standing three-sided kiosks examines the history of the Tug Valley region, origins and events of the feud, as well as its historical and cultural significance including related scholarly books, plays, television shows, and products. The West Virginia Humanities Council’s Hatfields & McCoys traveling exhibit is funded in part by ZMM Architects & Engineers of Charleston. The Blennerhassett Museum of Regional History is open Tuesday – Sunday. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. through September 7, 2020, and from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. September 8 – December 21, 2020.
