Come to Tygart Lake State Park on Saturday, July 15, 2023 and experience the memories and sounds of old-time music and learn a bit about our state’s great railroad heritage. It will be a lovely evening of railroading history via music and story.
Mick Souter is a true West Virginia original, performing with different instruments as the banjo, dulcimer, autoharp, and harmonica. Known as West Virginia’s ‘Bard of Education’, Souter takes all ages on a historical journey with classic railroad-themed songs such as ‘John Henry’, ‘The New River Train’, and many more.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair! The evening is open to the public. There is no charge to attend and will be at Tygart Lake Lodge.
