13th Annual Cardboard and Duct Tape Sled Race – Blackwater Falls State Park - February 28, 2026

The fun starts with the design and construction of a person-powered, cardboard and duct tape sled able to withstand a descent down the Blackwater Falls sled run. There will be awards for fastest descent, best wipeout, and most original theme-based sled. This year’s race will be dedicated to the memory of longtime Park Naturalist Paulita Cousin. This year’s theme is 1980’s Rock Bands.
Registration begins at 9:00 am, with the race following registration of all teams.
