An Enchanted, Candlelit Evening Awaits on Blennerhassett Island this October

An island in West Virginia?! That’s right — Blennerhasset Island is a hidden gem nestled along the Ohio River. Accessible only by Sternwheeler, this magical slice of Almost Heaven boasts scenic beauty, rich history and unique heritage.

Visit the weekend of October 10-11, 2025, and take a step back in time to experience the enchantment of the mansion as Harman and Margaret Blennherhassett did more than 200 years ago. Illuminated by hundreds of candles and lanterns, the island transforms into an 18th-century party featuring docents in period costume, 18th-century dance performances, Appalachian music, local folklore and many other family-friendly activities. 🕯️

Ticket Prices

Tickets are $42 for adults and $32 for children ages 4–12. Children 3 and under are free. Each ticket includes a round-trip boat ride, a horse-drawn wagon ride, and candlelight tours of the mansion.

Make your night even more special with a cozy harvest supper on the island. Available as an add-on, dinner is $25 for adults and $15 for kids ages 4–12. Children 3 and under dine free.
