This WV State Park Light Show is a Fan Favorite for a Reason

Do you remember that rush of excitement from hopping in the car with your family and hitting up your local town for their Christmas light display? West Virginia is known for having a lot of fan favorites, but when it comes to Christmas lights, Chief Logan State Park has plenty to show to give you that feeling again.

This season, relive your childhood at this beautiful state park’s Christmas in the Park light show and fill your eyes with over a MILLION Christmas lights!

A Million Lights?! 🤯

You read that correctly, and at Christmas in the Park, those lights are a sight to behold. Chief Logan State Park, renowned for its proximity to the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System, transforms into a vibrant winter wonderland from the comfort of your own vehicle. As always, the event is free to the public, with donations highly encouraged.

What to Expect for This Year ✨

While regulars will already be familiar with some of the classic features of the display, there will be plenty of new lights to enjoy, as well as much more, this year at Christmas in the Park.

🎄Two new incredible displays (we won’t spoil them!)

🎅Santa Land – open from Dec. 1-23 except for Sundays

☕️Hot cocoa from the Coco Hut

🛍️The Christmas in the Park gift shop – open until 9 p.m.

🚜Hayrides – Wednesdays through Saturdays

🗓️The lighting display is open from Nov. 27th through Dec. 31st and closes at 10 p.m. each night

Getting There 🚘

Unlike Santa, you won’t need the reindeer to lead the way to Chief Logan State Park. Just enter the park to view the display from the main entrance, W.Va. 10. This is the only way to ensure that you see all the lights in the correct order.

Make it a True Holiday 🧳
