Bluestone State Park Campground opening delayed until mid-June

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. —
Today, West Virginia State Park officials announced the 2019 opening of Meador
Campground, Tent Area Campground and Old Mill Campground at Bluestone State
Park will be delayed until mid-June.
“Earlier this year, heavy rains and major flooding created two road slides and
extensive electrical damage at the campgrounds,” said Matt Yeager, District
Administrator with West Virginia State Parks. “We have made significant
progress on the repairs; however, until the restoration is complete, access and
operation of the campground, picnic area, and swimming pool is delayed until
mid-June.”
The delayed campground and swimming pool opening do not affect any Bluestone
cabins rentals or access to the park office.
