Coopers Rock State Forest Lodging
Sleep out under the stars at Coopers Rock State Forest. Campsites are available from spring through fall. McCollum Campground offers 25 sites, all with electrical hookups and Rhododendron Campground offers 25 primitive campsites.
Camping
Coopers Rock State Forest houses two distinct campgrounds, McCollum and Rhododendron, making up 50 campsites altogether. In addition to selfie stops and canyon gorge views, the park offers biking, fishing, hiking, and rock climbing, with several scattered playgrounds for children to enjoy.
Cabins
Experience a front-row seat to West Virginia’s star-studded skies with an overnight stay in the brand new stargazing cabins tucked within Coopers Rock State Forest. Complete with two bedrooms, full furnishings, Wi-Fi and a telescope, here guests can witness an array of nighttime twinkle from the comfort of an award-winning A-frame cabin.
Once construction is complete, the forest will feature a total of 12 stargazing cabins. For now, five are open and ready to welcome guests for a magical night beneath the stars.
