Kumbrabow Cabins
It doesn’t get more rustic than this. Kumbrabow State Forest features six completely furnished cabins that hearken back to the days before electricity connected us to the larger world. Here, you’ll find true rest and relaxation, free of digital distractions and mobile notifications. One cabin is wheelchair accessible, and all cabins are pet-friendly. Guests should note these cabins do not have electricity or running water.
Cabins are available April though the first week of December. Check in begins at 4 p.m., and check out is by 10 a.m. for all cabins.
Pioneer Cabins
Pioneer cabins are of wood frame construction and feature various bedding arrangements. The cabins of have gas lights, gas refrigerator, fully equipped kitchen, linen service, wood fireplace, outside toilet, water well and a grill. Before booking, guests should know that pioneer cabins do not have electricity or running water and that shower services are available at a central bathhouse located away from the cabin area. Wood is provided for the fireplace and outside firewood is available for a small fee.
