Camping at Tygart Lake State Park
Located in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in scenic north-central West Virginia, Tygart Lake provides campers with some of the most breathtaking views across the state. The lake acts as the centerpiece of this park. Campers can enjoy boating and more water activities during the warmer months.
Campground Seasons & Dates
The campground is open spring through fall, weather permitting and is at the end of the park road, approximately three miles from the park’s east entrance.
Campsites may be reserved anytime online, by phone or at the campground office.
Reservations may be made for no less than two consecutive nights on weekends (Friday and Saturday) or one night Sunday through Thursday.

There is a 14-night maximum stay.
Campsite Amenities
Tygart Lake State Park’s campground has 36 camping sites. Ten come with 50-amp electric and water hookups and 26 are standard sites. A dump station is near the beach area. Full hookup sites are not available. All campsites are reservable. Almost all campsites pick up great Wi-Fi, but the signal is weak from sites 28-40, but typically have one bar.
