Camping at Camp Creek State Park

Camp Creek State Park and Forest is known for beautiful waterfalls and great camping. With nearly 6,000 acres of lush forest, 35 miles of trails and seven miles of seasonally stocked trout streams, there is something for every camper to explore and enjoy.

Camp Creek State Park and Forest has three campgrounds, one pack-in-pack-out site and a ranger outpost cabin, which include picnic tables, grills and fire rings.

Campground Seasons & Dates

Camp Creek campgrounds are open year-round, weather permitting.

Campsites may be reserved anytime by booking online, calling the West Virginia Call Center or the state park directly or seasonally at the campground office. The office is closed December through February.

Reservations may be made for no less than two consecutive nights during the season on weekends starting on the Thursday before Memorial Day and ends the day after Labor Day. There is a 14-night maximum stay.

Mash Fork Campground

Mash Fork Campground offers a heated bathhouse that is open year-round. In its entirety, the campground includes 26 trailer/tent sites with the following options:

  • 9 with electrical hookups
  • 8 with water and electric hookups
  • 9 with full hookups

Blue Jay Campground

Blue Jay Campground offers 12 rustic sites for tent campers.

The Pack It In – Pack It Out Campground

Pack It In – Pack It Out site is the ideal spot for those looking to travel away from mainstream facilities. To reach the campsite, guests must hike or bike more than three miles to the Almost Heaven Road and Trail. Advance reservations for this remote campground are preferred.

The Double C Horse and Rider Campground

Double C Horse and Rider Campground is perfect for those traveling with horses to go trail riding. Some sites can hold up to four horses, and the reservation covers two horses. occupancy sites. Holding more than two horses requires an additional fee per horse and night. Reservations can be made at a call center or office. Applications are no longer used.
