Live birds of prey at Tygart Lake State Park are presented by the Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The educational birds program is a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors.

This evening program is about raptors that are native to West Virginia: hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat, diet and behavior of each bird presented, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds.

There is no fee to attend. Open to the public, the program lasts about an hour and is staged on the Nature Center Lawn at Tygart Lake State Park. Questions are welcomed. This is a family friendly event. An excellent presentation for all ages and in particular youth interested in wildlife conservation and education.
