The Rock Talk-and-Walk is a morning hike with a state geologist and Park Naturalist, Jacob Jackson. Meet at 10:00 a.m. at Tygart Lake Nature Center parking log. We’ll set foot for very short distances to learn more and find rocks, minerals and fossils on this morning walk.
This Geology Rocks! activity is Saturday, October 8, 2022. There are rock outcroppings (weather permitting) and sturdy shoes are recommended. The activity is open to any age and the general public. This hike is an exceptional opportunity for youth and families interested in geology and topography.
There is no charge to attend the Geology Rocks! programs. Geology Rocks! is presented by geologists from the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey.
