National Trails Day — Kanawha State Forest - May 5, 2026

Celebrate National Trails Day at Kanawha State Forest and join forest naturalist Jess Blalock by participating in a trail cleanup on the Spotted Salamander Trail. This trail is an easy 0.25-mile flat, ADA-accessible and kid-friendly. The forest will provide all materials, including gloves, bags, trash grabbers, water and snacks. Participants should wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Tick spray is also recommended. For more information, please contact the forest office at 304-558-3500.
