National Trails Day Hike: Pipestem Resort State Park - June 6, 2026

Join us at Pipestem Resort State Park to celebrate National Trails Day! National Trails Day is held annually on the first Saturday in June to celebrate trails across the U.S. This year the Naturalist team is joining up with Active Southern West Virginia to offer two hiking options along the Bluestone Turnpike Trail in the scenic Bluestone River Gorge.
Option A: 2-mile interpretive hike – one mile out, one mile back
Option B: 4-mile hike – two miles out, two miles back
Both hikes meet on the deck of Mountain Creek Lodge. Allow 15 to 20 minutes for the tram ride down. A special tram coupon will be given to each participant at the end of the hikes.
