Cass Scenic Railroad State Park is offering a National Trails Day Hike Saturday, June 3, 2023 in conjunction with a Full Moon Hike. The hike starts at 8:30PM and meets at the Cass Company Store.

This hike is on the Greenbrier River Trail and will depart from the Company Store to Mile Marker 79 and return. About three miles of easy walking until the light of a full moon. The hike leader is Superintendent Marshall Markley. Participants received a Trails Day patch upon return. The hike is open to the public and without charge.

National Trails Day® occurs on the first Saturday in June. It is a day of public events aimed at advocacy and trail service. The celebration is led by the American Hiking Society and 2023 marks the 31st year of the initiative.
