National Trails Day Hike at Cass Scenic Railroad
Celebrate National Trails Day 2018 by taking a hike with a park ranger on the Greenbrier River Trail. Hikers will leave the company store at 5 p.m., and travel though the historic town of Cass to the Extract Plant Ruins, and mile marker 79.
National Trails Day is a nationwide hiking program by the American Hiking Association that encourages everyone to get outdoors to take a hike or walk.
Don’t forget to log all the miles you hike on National Trails Day! Submit your completed log sheet for a certificate and patch recognizing participation. Hike leaders will have log sheets, or they may be obtained at a state park or forest office or check-in point.
