National Trails Day — Bluestone State Park - June 6, 2026

Celebrate National Trails Day at Bluestone State Park with two separate hikes! The first hike is on the River View Trail. This is a moderate 2.5-mile hike that starts at the park office. Hikers should meet at the office no later than 8:45am. Be sure to wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring water and snacks.

The second hike is on the Cabin Trail and the Giles, Fayette, Kanawha Turnpike Trail. This is a moderate to challenging 3.5-mile hike along a historic path once followed by Booker T. Washington, Mary Ingles and President Rutherford B. Hayes. Hikers should meet at the Event Building no later than 11:45am. Be sure to wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring water and snacks.
