Moths of the New River Gorge is a Spring Fling activity!
Learn about and see moths of the New River Gorge. Get started with an indoor presentation in the Hawks Nest State Park conference room and then move outside to see moths attracted by artificial lights.
Bring a flashlight/headlamp, magnifying glass, and camera with flash if desired. Field observation session end time will be determined by the moths. This activity begins at 7:30 through 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Interested attendees may receive a ‘Field Guide to the Slug Moths of West Virginia’ by Tucker Cooley and Richard C. Reardon.
