An now a plea from white-tailed deer fawns:
“My mother may leave me alone for long periods of time, sometimes hours or even all day. Even if you don’t see my mother nearby, I don’t need to be “rescued”. Please give me some space and do not disturb me. Please leave me alone. My mom told me to stay put and that’s what I’m doing. I’m fine!”
