Nature Trail Hike
Meet at the Trailhead to explore the woods. Get to know your surrounding forest by learning
some of the plants and trees at Twin Falls.
Leaf Me Be (YPP)
Held at fire circle by Campground Store, we’ll learn to identify poison ivy and other vegetation and critters.
Leaf Me Be participants find out what to be aware of while in the woods.

Pollinator Field (YPP)
Meet out front of the Nature Center.
We will take a short walk to the field. Pollinator fields hold the key to plants being alive. They help small pollinators survive. Participants will learn why

3:30 pm: Butterfly Craft
Conducted in the original Lobby at the Lodge
Butterflies can be found all over the park. Join us to ID some of the key species you may
see at Twin Falls. Participants can do a provided craft while the presentation goes on.
5:30 pm: Tree Walk (YPP)
Meet in the Nature Center Yard
Come enjoy a leisure walk and check out some common trees of Southern West Virginia.
YPP is Young People for Parks program that encourages youth ages 6 – 16 to explore the outdoors.
The Nature Center hours are: Monday, Thursday – Saturday from 3:00-7:00 p.m.; Sunday, 3:00 -6:00 p.m. and closed on Tuesday – Wednesday. There is no admission to visit the nature center or to participate in planned activities.
