Hike by the light of a full or near full moon at Cass on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

The “Snow Moon” hike at Cass Scenic Railroad begins from the visitors center (to the left of the Company Store facing the store) at 6:30 p.m. The evening walk is about three miles round trip with a slight grade, but mostly flat walking on the Greenbrier River Trail. Please wear sturdy winter footwear and clothing. Hike will be led by Park Superintendent Marshall Markley or Assistant Superintendent Robert Waybright, Jr. The hike is open to the public and fee free.

February’s full Moon name is known as the Snow Moon due to the typically heavy snowfall that occurs in February.
