Full Cold Moon Hike: North Bend

Humankind has had a long and interesting relationship with the full moon. It has cemented its
place in folklore, acted as a signal for farmers and signified the changing of the seasons. The full moon of December is most commonly known as the Full Cold Moon.

Spend the evening of Wednesday, December 7, 2022 exploring the riverside of the Southern Railroad Trail.
We will discuss lore, myth and other nighttime nature fun facts.

Meet the naturalist at the River Run Campground Check-in station at 5:30 PM This is a 1.6-mile
hike with easy graded tread. Make sure to dress appropriately for winter conditions and wear closed toe shoes. Flashlights are recommended. The event is free and open to the public.
