First Day Hike at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park - January 1, 2026

Jump into the New Year with America’s State Parks First Day Hike! What better way to start the new year than enjoying nature with family and friends. Join the park superintendent in hiking around the Mill Works, along the river, and to the Mountaineer Mile Trail. This is a 2.5-mile easy hike.
Meet at the Burner Bridge parking lot. Hike starts at 9 a.m. Dress for the weather, and be sure to bring along water and snacks.
