Blackwater Falls State Park: 13th Annual Cardboard and Duct Tape Sled Race

The fun starts with design and construction of a person-powered, cardboard or corrugated cardboard sled of cardboard and duct tape able to withstand a race down the Blackwater Falls sled run. There are awards. The goal is to have super safe sledding fun with the theme of 1980’s Rock Bands. The creative sled designs will reveal what was going on in the 1980s. THERE ARE AWARDS:
“Park Ranger” for best Dynamic Duos theme based visually appealing.
“Most Spirited” for having the most fun and sportsmanship.
“Speed” for best overall team time on downhill descent.
“Wipe-Out” best overall crash on downhill descent.
Some guidelines:
REGISTRATION is from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. with the race beginning immediately following the conclusion of registration. Advanced reservation is highly recommended.
