Birds of Prey: Beech Fork-4:00 p.m.

Live birds of prey at Beech Fork State Park are presented by Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC). The educational birds are a great opportunity to learn what birds says “who cooks for me, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors.

The afternoon program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat, diet and behavior of each bird presented, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds. There is no fee to attend. Open to the public, there are two presentation times. One at 2:30 p.m. and a second at 4:00 p.m. The program lasts about an hour. Questions are welcomed.

Program will be located at the Park Headquarters lawn area.
