Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day at Cacapon. Enjoy these activities with family and friends. There is no fee, and the activities are open to the public visiting for the day or staying overnight. All festivities are located at the picnic area/gazebo, outside at the Nature Center.
9:00 a.m. Piney Ridge Hike. Meet at Nature Center to join park volunteer and West Virginia Master Naturalist to take in the views of Ridge Trail. (1.5 miles, moderate hike)
11:30 a.m. Pictures With Smokey Bear. Bring your camera or smart phone and take a picture with the fire preventing bear, Smokey!
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Music at the Gazebo
Games: corn hole, volleyball
Local community and state environmental conservation tables
Featuring (WV Division of Forestry, WV Department of Agriculture: Agricultural Pest Survey Program Specialist, Morgan County Extension: WV Master Naturalists & Master Gardeners, Sleepy Creek Watershed, & Wind Dance Farm and Earth Education Center, Wild Ones (Native Plants, natural landscapes)

Golf Course: Free use of clubs and driving range balls at the driving range
2:00 p.m. Earth Day Hike-A-Thon is presented by Wind Dance and Earth Education Center. Hikers of all ages are invited for a fun afternoon of hiking. Registration and hiking starts at Batt Picnic Shelter (2 miles past Nature Center). Entry forms and sponsor sheets available at www.winddancefarm.org
