Everyone knows that the venue sets the stage for a successful meeting. Blackwater Falls State Park lodge combines conference amenities with an unforgettable view. The lodge offers more than 5,000 square feet of conference space, from rooms that hold small parties of 30 or less, to the Milton Harr Conference Center that seats over 200. The park provides free Wi-Fi and onsite audio/visual equipment. Meeting participants have the luxury of dining onsite at The Smokehouse, the lodge’s full-service restaurant. The lodge has 54 rooms to accommodate overnight attendees. After a long day of meetings, guests can relax in the lodge’s indoor pool, or utilize the fitness room. Guests can also take advantage of seasonal recreational opportunities such as sledding, cross country skiing, disc golf, or hiking.

 

Chief Logan Lodge & Conference Center in southern West Virginia is one of the newest lodging and conference destinations in the state parks system. Chief Logan offers more than 13,000 square feet of conference space for gatherings, from a select board room for 10 to a theater of 500 in the Earl Ray Tomblin Convention Center. Wi-Fi and onsite audiovisual equipment is available in all conference facilities. Chief Logan Lodge can accommodate overnight attendees with 75 upscale rooms and suites. The indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center along with a full-service restaurant make Chief Logan an excellent meeting destination.

Pipestem Resort State Park, with its sweeping vistas of the Bluestone Gorge, has long been a popular site for meetings. McKeever Lodge is open year-round and offers 113 guest rooms and flexible space in the Hudkins Conference Center. The conference center seats up to 600 attendees in theater style or 300 in classroom. Additional meeting rooms in McKeever Lodge and the seasonal Mount Creek Lodge accommodate modest-sized gatherings, from 25 up to 200. Wireless access is available throughout the lodge and in most guest rooms. Pipestem also offers onsite audio/visual equipment. Guests can unwind in McKeever Lodge’s indoor heated pool, game room, saunas or exercise room. In season, guests can hike, bike, fish, shop or play a few rounds of golf. Attendees can dine onsite at any number of Pipestem’s food venues, including the full-service Bluestone Dining Room or Canyon Rim Café at McKeever Lodge, Wings and Swings at the golf course pro shop, Cannonball! at the recreation center, or gourmet dining at the seasonally operated Mountain Creek restaurant.
