Massage Therapist – Cacapon State Park
Duties:
Under supervision of Spa Manager and Assistant Spa Manager, Massage Therapist is assigned to Cacapon Resort State Park Spa and may travel to Berkeley Springs State Park upon request. Must adhere to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current Massage License. Must maintain current license and complete required C.E.U.’s. Massage duties may include but are not limited to greeting and assisting guests, Knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish, Therapeutic, Hot Stone and Couples massage preferred. Knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities such as Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Watsu, Chair massage also preferred, as well as other modalities offered by Cacapon Resort State Park. May be cross-trained to provide additional spa services.
Must have scheduling flexibility. Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays required.
Hourly pay: $20.00 Additional compensation: Gratuity
Special Requirements:
- Participates in continuing education to improve techniques, effectiveness, and expanding current services offered. Additional training may be provided.
- Additional massage modalities may be added to service menu. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Ability to learn quickly and perform efficiently the duties assigned. Help maintain professionalism and cleanliness of treatment rooms and common areas.
- Properly document and maintain all treatment records.
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times. Have a strong customer service orientation.
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) and in a courteous and professional manner on a regular basis with guests, co-workers and management.
- Communicates various promotions to clients.
- Follows all practice policies and protocols.
- Assists in the cleanliness of the treatment rooms, nail area, common areas.
- Designs specific sessions based on guest’s individual needs.
- Assists in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis.
- Creates excellent guest experience through friendly and helpful attitude.
- Provides highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Restock supplies and resources for sessions.
- Ability to utilize spa software.
- Schedule appointments.
- Work with salon management to create marketing programs designed to attract more guests.
- Massage therapist duties also include helping guests with the use of the mineral baths, sauna, and showers at Berkeley Springs State Park.
- Fills baths, stocks laundry, and performs routine cleaning of work areas and baths.
- Advise guests on safety issues involving the baths and time limits.
- Assist in training of new employees.
- Uniform required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
