DUTIES:
Under general supervision, performs duties necessary for maintenance and upkeep of state recreation areas. Duties include but are not limited to cutting grass with a hand scythe, hand mower, lawn tractor or weed eater; performing a variety of tasks in the care of buildings and grounds, cuts and hauls firewood; cleans picnic areas, shelters and comfort stations; performs a variety of limited skill work typical of various building trades – painting, limited carpentry and plumbing. Performs related work as required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Working knowledge of the operation of lawn maintenance equipment, tractors, and power tools, ability to drive and operate a truck, ability to perform limited work in carpentry, plumbing and other mechanical skills, ability to perform a variety of routine unskilled tasks involving the care and maintenance of buildings, grounds and utilities, ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, ability to learn quickly and perform efficiently the duties assigned.
