Tammy is a Wyoming County native born and raised just a stone’s throw away from the entrance of Twin Falls she is on fire about nature and all the beauty it portrays\, and the waterfalls here at Twin Falls is no exception. You will learn the history of the falls and why they seem to just vanish as they flow towards one another. Allow 1 hour. \nTrail Description: Falls Trail 1.25-mile loop rolling terrain is paved to first falls “Foley Falls” then becomes rocky to second falls before cutting back onto an old park road. Trail can be muddy and hold water in certain areas. Dress accordingly and closed toe shoes are a great choice. \nSPECIAL PROGRAM\n5:00pm\n“Snakes Alive”\nThis presentation is in the Azalea Room located inside Twin Falls Lodge It is a free educational program offered to guests and the general public. Snakes alive is a GREAT and safe program for all ages given by Jim Fregonara\, a biologist with WVDNR. During this program you will learn about the importance that these slithering friends have on our ecosystem and why they are such an awesome species. You will learn about their habitat\, what the eat\, and yes how to identify venomous from non-venomous\, because you will actually be up close “if you want to be” to these snakes. You will meet some snake species that call WV home such as the Black rat snake\, Corn snake\, Milk snake\, Garter snake and the only two venomous species found in WV the Northern Copperhead and the Timber Rattlesnake.
