Birding with Laura — Birding at Blackwater Falls finds volunteer leader Laura Ceperley inviting you to join her this morning at the Harold Walters Nature Center for a morning stroll looking for feathered friends. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get organized and to work on any refresher instructions on sighting in your binoculars. Dress for the weather and be prepared to walk one or two miles along pavement\, gravel paths and park trails. The pace is slow in order to stop\, listen and look. Pack a bottle of water and a snack if desired. Laura Ceperley is a member of the Handlan Chapter of the Brooks Bird Club\, recognized by the Division of Natural Resources as a Master Naturalist\, a quilter\, and a guest naturalist with a focus on birding at multiple educational activities across West Virgin-ia.
