SUMMARY:WonderFall Hike: Cass Scenic Railroad State Park
DESCRIPTION:Join a Naturalist for a hike at Seneca State Forest. Participants should wear appropriate hiking attire\, be prepared for the day’s weather\, and bring water. Feel free to bring binoculars and cameras. Participants are encouraged to RSVP to Joshua.R.Daniel@wv.gov at least 24 hours in advance for reservations\, but walk-ins are welcome. We will meet at the Seneca State Forest Headquarters off Rt. 28 at noon on Saturday\, October 17\, 2026.

SUMMARY:WonderFall Hike: Cacapon Resort State Park
DESCRIPTION:Join the park naturalist’s for a two-mile hike along Cacapon Mountain fire road. A group photo will be taken at Cacapon Mountain Overlook\, the highest peak in the eastern panhandle\, near 2\,100 feet elevation. This is also the location of the Almost Heaven West Virginia swing. The fire road provides breathtaking views of the area and fall colors. This easy hike will be on a mostly level fire road\, but dress with sturdy shoes and for cool morning weather. \n\n\n\nDogs on a leash are welcome\, and parking is available at the Cacapon Mountain Overlook area and along the road. Everyone earns a WonderFall Walk patch!

SUMMARY:Johnny Staats Project – Pipestem Resort State Park
DESCRIPTION:McKeever Lodge \n\n\n\nJohnny Staats is a bluegrass mandolin\, guitar and violin player\, born and raised in West Virginia. He has been featured on NBC’s Today Show\, in People Magazine\, on the CBS Evening News and CNN\, and has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry. He won Charleston’s Vandalia Gathering-Mandolin championships in 1996\, 1997\, and 1999. In 1997\, he also won the guitar title and placed third in the fiddle competition. \n\n\n\nThis is a Saturday night show at McKeever Lodge and is a ticketed event. \n\n\n\nGeneral admission price is $15\, and VIP tickets with preferred seating\, and a meet & greet is $25. \n\n\n\nFor tickets\, call Pipestem Resort State Park at (304) 466-1800.
