SUMMARY:Mansion By Candlelight 2026 – Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park
DESCRIPTION:🕯️Take a step back in time and experience the enchantment of Blennerhassett Island and its magnificent mansion\, much as Harman and Margaret Blennerhassett did over 200 years ago. Illuminated by hundreds of candles and lanterns\, the island transforms into an 18th century soiree\, featuring attendants in period costume\, 18th century dance performances\, Appalachian music\, and haunting local folklore. \n\n\n\n🚨 Available for two nights only: Oct. 9th and 10th\, 2026! \n\n\n\n🎟️ Tickets are $42 per adult and $32 per child aged 4-12. Children 3 & under are free. Your ticket purchase includes a round-trip sternwheeler ride on the Island Belle\, a horse-drawn wagon ride on the island\, and a guided candlelight tour of the Blennerhassett Mansion. Tickets are on sale now! \n\n\n\n🧺 Visitors can enhance their evening with the Harvest Supper\, a Blennerhassett picnic-style exclusive\, and only available as an add-on purchase. \n\n\n\n🍽️ The Harvest Supper is $25 per adult and $15 per child (ages 4-12). Park Naturalist Jacob Jackson will lead this yearly tradition on the Ridge and Lake Trails. The hike is approximately two miles and includes some hilly terrain. DESCRIPTION:📍Shelter 4 \n\n\n\n🍸 Social: 5 p.m. \n\n\n\n🍽️ Dinner: 6 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWest Virginia State Parks\, in cooperation with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture\, is pleased to announce the 2026 Farm to Table Event Series! The individual talents of our state park chefs come alive as they craft unforgettable culinary experiences\, preparing sumptuous dinners with the freshest products sourced from local vendors. \n\n\n\nEach dinner in the series will feature its own unique theme\, setting\, entertainment and menu. These annual events at West Virginia’s state park restaurants create a unique summertime experience you don’t want to miss! \n\n\n\nThe pastoral setting of North Bend State Park accentuates this outdoor buffet event at Shelter 4. Located within walking distance of the North Bend lodge\, guests will be treated to a locally sourced and chef inspired menu of venison meat loaf with tomato chutney glaze\, roasted chicken with clementines and Arak\, southern green beans\, grilled corn on the cob\, loaded mashed potato casserole\, kale salad with apples\, pears\, dried cranberries\, homemade rolls with cinnamon honey butter\, and for dessert baked apple fritters and pumpkin cheesecake bars. A cash bar social starts at 5 p.m.\, featuring locally crafted beers and wines\, with dinner starting at 6 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe price for this culinary event is $60 per person\, all-inclusive. Musical entertainment and local vendors will round out an enjoyable evening at North Bend State Park. Because this is an outdoor event\, be sure to dress for the weather. A special dine-and-stay package is also available. The package includes the farm-to-table dinner and a standard room at the North Bend Lodge.
