SUMMARY:Living History: Guyasuta — Tygart Lake State Park
DESCRIPTION:Join historian and storyteller Doug Wood as he presents the life of Seneca leader Guyasuta in the mid-1770s. Guyasuta was a prominent leader on the early Western Virginian and Western Pennsylvanian frontier whose fate intertwined with George Washington many times during both the French and Indian War and the American Revolution as both friend and adversary. In his later years\, Guyasuta worked for peace and reconciliation with the new United States. \n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public. Be sure to start the evening with dinner at The Lodge Restaurant and then relax and enjoy this historic and interesting event. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Cacapon Resort State Park on August 8\, at the Cacapon Bath House at 7 p.m. \n\n\n\nHerps Alive! is an interactive reptile experience\, featuring nearly 20 different reptiles which attendees get to touch and hold. Award winning herpetologist Keith Gisser has been presenting reptile programs across the country for over 40 years. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Herps Alive Foundation\, a reptile rescue organization. All the animals in the program are rescues.
