DESCRIPTION:September 6\, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Join staff in the Blackwater Falls overflow/bus parking area at 9:30 a.m. to register for a pet– friendly morning that incorporates principles of B.A.R.K. so owners and their dogs can enjoy visits to West Virginia State Parks. Bring your furry friend and learn about leave no trace principles and other park rules. After hearing about B.A.R.K. your pet can earn a certificate for being part of B.A.R.K. in the Park. Paws at the Falls hike along the boardwalk from the Almost Heaven Swing to the bottom deck viewing of Blackwater Falls begins at 10 a.m. There is no fee to enter but donations in the form of monetary\, paper towels\, dawn dish liquid\, canned dog food\, canned cat food\, bleach\, large trash bags and new enrichment toys are welcomed for the Tucker County Animal Shelter. Prizes will be given after the hike to Blackwater Falls for best dressed owner/dog look alike and other tail wagging surprises.
