DESCRIPTION:The Cacapon nature center is a great stop for all ages\, showcasing exhibits on the park history and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Morgan 1934-41. Visit daily from 9:30AM – 4:30PM. All activities and programs start at the nature center unless noted. SUMMARY:Laura’s Bird Walks: Blackwater Falls
DESCRIPTION:Birding at Blackwater Falls finds volunteer leader Laura Ceperley inviting you to join her for a Saturday\, November 4\, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. Meet at the Blackwater Falls Sled Run parking lot to get started. \nPlease arrive 10 minutes early to get organized and to work on any refresher instructions on sighting in your binoculars. Dress for the weather and be prepared to walk one or two miles along pavement\, gravel paths and park trails. The pace is slow in order to stop\, listen and look. Pack a bottle of water and a snack if desired. The Smokehouse Restaurant at the park lodge is open for lunch. \nLaura Ceperley is a member of the Handlan Chapter of the Brooks Bird Club\, recognized by the Division of Natural Resources as a Master Naturalist\, a quilter\, and a guest naturalist with a focus on birding at multiple educational activities across West Virginia.
