Discover comfortable seating and a great meal in the Bluestone Dining Room. \nMONDAY\, October 9\, 20231:00 pm- Taxidermy Talk *YPPCome by the Nature Center to learn about some of West Virginia’s native wildlife\, see our taxidermy collection\, and touch authentic animal pelts.(30min) \n5:00 pm- What Should I Bring? *YPPMeet in the Activity Shelter behind the Nature Center for a talk about what you should take with you when you explore the great outdoors.(30 minutes) \nTUESDAY\, October 10\, 202310:00 am- Barney Law Orchard WalkJoin us at the Nature Center for a nearby walk to the homesite and orchard of former park resident\, Barney Law. \n2:00 pm- Turtle Game *YPPMeet in the front yard of the Nature Center to learn about turtles while we play an outdoor game. (self paced) \nWEDNESDAY\, October 11\, 20235:00 pm- Bird Bingo *YPPCome by the Activity Shelter at the Nature Center for a few rounds of Bird Bingo andlearn some interesting bird facts.(45 minutes) \nTHURSDAY\, October 12\, 202310:30 am- It’s For the Birds *YPPMeet staff inside the Nature Center for a conversation on our bird feeding space\, birding apps commonly used\, and common bird feeder birds. (30min) \n5:00 pm- An Extraordinary Ordinary MothMeet in the Activity Shelter behind the Nature Center to hear a storybook story about a moth. Then color a picture of a moth any color you want. A great activity for kids or adults who love moths. YPP \nFRIDAY\, October 13\, 20235:00 pm- Wildlife Game *YPPMeet at the Nature Center for a quiz game about North American wildlife. (30 min) \n7:00 pm- Campfire Time! *YPPMeet at the fire ring behind the Campground store to learn how to make char cloth\, a fire-starting assistance\, and make fire using this primitive fire starter. We will also roast some marshmallows. Bring a camping chair if you have one. Craft fee: $2.00. \n1:00 p.m. Spooky Leaf HikeMeet Naturalist Kenny at the Sled Run for this hike along a portion of two parktrails: Shay Trace and Cherry Lane. About 90 minutes. 1.5 miles. YPP \n2:00 p.m. Light Pollution and Solution-You!Join the park naturalist for this program about light pollution and the impacts it has on wildlife and us. Also\, discover ways you can help. About 1 hour. YPP \n5:00 p.m. Ramblin’ Ranger-Let’s Talk TurkeyFind the park naturalist in Blackwater Lodge Lobby with her display about the wild turkey. Children can craft a turkey call. The naturalist will be available in the lobby for about 2 hours. Let’s see who can gobble. SUMMARY:Art-in-the-Park: Berkeley Springs
DESCRIPTION:The 16th annual Art-in-the-Park series is a juried art fair that provides public access to fine artisans located in the Berkeley Springs region of West Virginia. Nationally known artists exhibit at this event\, and the best part is artisans are local residents. \n\n\n\nShows are rain or shine from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and located across the street from the Farmers Market. Art-in-the-Park is free to attend and open to the public.
