(30 min film) \n1:30PM\nHistory Walk\nJoin park naturalists to discover how Camp Morgan created this WV State Park. \nWhen visiting Cacapon Resort State Park\, visit the Tom Ambrose Nature Center! The nature center is a great stop for all ages\, showcasing exhibits on the park history and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Morgan 1934-41. Other West Virginia natural exhibits include an extensive taxidermy collection of wildlife- fish\, birds\, fox\, bobcat\, mountain lion\, deer\, elk\, and eastern grey wolf! Also\, hands-on sand displays for wildlife tracks and a new geology interactive map to design your own mountains\, rivers and lakes. DESCRIPTION:Moths of the New River Gorge is a Spring Fling activity! \nLearn about and see moths of the New River Gorge. Get started with an indoor presentation in the Hawks Nest State Park conference room and then move outside to see moths attracted by artificial lights. \nBring a flashlight/headlamp\, magnifying glass\, and camera with flash if desired. Field observation session end time will be determined by the moths. This activity begins at 7:30 through 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday\, April 18\, 2023. Interested attendees may receive a ‘Field Guide to the Slug Moths of West Virginia’ by Tucker Cooley and Richard C. Reardon.
