Spring frogs or toads? Pea-pea-deep. \n1:00PM\nDiscovery Hike\nLet’s discover what trees and wildflowers are starting to bloom! Each day spring flowers greet us with new shoots and blooms. \nWhen visiting Cacapon Resort State Park\, visit the Tom Ambrose Nature Center! The nature center is a great stop for all ages\, showcasing exhibits on the park history and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Morgan 1934-41. Other West Virginia natural exhibits include an extensive taxidermy collection of wildlife- fish\, birds\, fox\, bobcat\, mountain lion\, deer\, elk\, and eastern grey wolf! Also\, hands-on sand displays for wildlife tracks and a new geology interactive map to design your own mountains\, rivers and lakes. Take a park naturalist guided hike or join the daily activities! \nValerie Chaney is the state park naturalist at Cacapon Resort State Park. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the day welcoming the return of the Wood Ducks to Prickett’s Fort State Park on Thursday\, April 13\, 2023. \nThere will be opportunities to take photographs of the many species of birds and wildlife the state park has to offer\, so bring your camera\, binoculars\, or spotting scope and a snack and folding chair to witness the return of one of the most spectacular birds in North America. \nThe Visitor Center is the location and the observation times with Joey Herron are from 2:00 until 7:00PM.
