DESCRIPTION:Unique programs at Cacapon include Kayaking 101\, tie-dye and All about Bats. Join Naturalist Valerie Chaney and summer team\, Garrett\, Allen and Mary and park volunteers at the nature center (unless another location is indicated)\, July 26-28\, 2022. \nTuesday\, July 26\, 2022\n9:30AM\nKayaking 101\nLearn basic kayak safety and enjoy a naturalist guided tour of the lake. Meet at boat docks. Kayaks are limited to ten. $5 each. RSVP to cacaponnaturecenter@gmail.com/ or first come first serve. \n1:00PM\nWEST VIRGINIA SNAKES\nLearn the difference\nbetween venomous and non-venomous snakes. Her program includes use of an echolocator that identifies different species calls. Her passion for bats comes from first hand experience with bat studies. Her program includes anatomy of a bat\, how to get a bat out of the house\, plans for building bat boxes\, and white-nose syndrome\, a devastating disease causing bat populations to decline. If you have not visited Coopers Rock State Forest\, Aubrey welcomes the conversation about the forest\, trails and history. \nThursday\, July 28\, 2022\n9:15AM\nPADDLE BOAT & BIRDING\nMeet at the boat dock rentals for a morning of lake views\, binoculars provided.
