The nature center is open from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Activities begin at the nature center unless noted otherwise. \nThursday\, July 14\, 2022 \n3:30 pm\nWonders of the Rainbow (YPP)\nHeld at the Campfire Circle next to the Campground Store\nColors are everywhere you look! Rainbows are examples of how beautiful these colors can be. Learn how nature forms these beauties while doing a craft. \n6:00 pm\nLeaf Me Be (YPP)\nMeet out front of the Nature Center\nTaking a hike is a relaxing part of being out in the park. Have you ever wondered about things you should be aware of in the woods? Join us for this short hike. \nFriday\, July 15\, 2022 \n4:00 pm\nRhododendron Hike\nHeld on Cliffside Trail. Meet at the trailhead and get ready for a beautiful hike.\nCome along and see our state flower in peak bloom. Closed toed shoes are recommended for this hike. \n6:30\nSkins and Skulls\nHeld at the Nature Center\nLet’s learn about a few animals you may see here in West Virginia. \nThe Nature Center is located up the first turn off right before the golf course check in. DESCRIPTION:The Aracoma Story returns to the Liz Spurlock Amphitheater at Chief Logan State Park\nRemaining dates are July 14-17 and July 21-24\, 2022 \nThe Aracoma Story is a local historical drama based on the unlikely friendship and legendary romance between Chief Cornstalk’s daughter Aracoma and a British renegade soldier Boling Baker.
