Join the park naturalist’s for a 2 mile hike along Cacapon Mountain fire road. Park at the Cacapon Mountain Overlook area and along the road for additional parking. A group photo will be taken at Cacapon Mountain Overlook, the highest peak in the eastern panhandle, near 2100 ft elevation. This is also the location of the Almost Heaven West Virginia swing. The fire road provides breathtaking views of the area and fall colors. This easy hike will be on a mostly level fire road, but dress with sturdy shoes and for cool morning weather. Dogs on a leash are welcome. Everyone earns a WonderFall Walk patch!
