1:30 p.m. Meet the turtles and craft with Brittany Ramsey, recreation attendant at Blackwater Falls Nature Center. The program is about thirty minutes, and all ages are welcomed to attend and participate.
3:30 p.m. Winter Birds and Abandoned Nests is a nature-based program with park naturalists Paulita Cousin and Jenna Hughes in the Nature Center. Learn about wintering birds characteristics and behavior then enjoy some helpful tips of possibly identify nests abandoned by birds found in our forest. Open to all ages.
Nature Center Hours: 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sledding is key fun at Blackwater Falls. The number of tickets per session are limited and very often sell out. A limited number of tickets are available to reserve for groups of 10 or more. All other tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. Tickets may be purchased for any session that day, beginning at 9:00 AM.
