SUMMARY:Wings of Wonder-Birds of Prey: Canaan Valley
DESCRIPTION:If you missed the Live birds of prey at Blackwater Falls State Park on June 17\, visit Canaan Valley Resort on June 18\, 2023 for an encore presentation. \nThree Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) will be at Canaan Valley on Sunday\, June 18 2023 at 4:00 p.m. The educational birds are a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me\, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors. \nThis afternoon program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks\, eagles\, falcons\, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat\, diet and behavior of each bird presented\, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds. \nThere is no fee to attend. Open to the public\, the program lasts about an hour and is staged in the Canaan Valley Lodge. Questions are welcomed. This is a family friendly event. An excellent presentation for all ages.
