SUMMARY:Wings of Wonder-Birds of Prey: Beech Fork
DESCRIPTION:Live birds of prey at Beech Fork State Park are presented by the Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) on Saturday\, May 27\, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. The educational birds are a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me\, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors. \nThis afternoon program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks\, eagles\, falcons\, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat\, diet and behavior of each bird presented\, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds. \nThere is no fee to attend. Open to the public\, the program lasts about an hour and is staged in the Administration Building also known as Park Headquarters. Questions are welcomed. This is a family friendly event. An excellent presentation for all ages.
