Watoga Wildlife – 2:00 p.m.
Learn about fur bearers of West Virginia. We will also view and learn how to identify some animal tracks!
Butterflies and Moths – 4:00 p.m.
Find Maddie at Watoga’s Activity Building to learn the differences between moths and butterflies. Then color a few to take home.

Guided Hike – 3:30 p.m.
Watoga is home to beautiful plants and wildlife! Join Park Naturalist, Maddie, at the boat dock near the main office, and take a 1.5 mile guided walk around the lake. We will talk about some of the plants and wildlife we see around the lake! Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring something to drink.

Scavenger Hunt! – 2:00 p.m.
Meet at the Activities Building by the Watoga swimming pool for a fun sensory scavenger hunt! We will be discovering amazing things in nature using our sight, touch, and smell. Let’s find as many cool things as we can!
Rock Painting – 3:30 p.m.
Making art with rocks! Join Park Naturalist, Maddie, by the activity center and make some fun art with rocks. Paint and brushes will be supplied, but please bring your own rock!

Tie Dye T-shirts – 2:00 p.m.
Make a keepsake to take home to remind you of your time here with a Watoga State Park Tie Dye T-Shirt. Please check in at the main office to purchase a shirt. Cost of shirt will be $10. Sizes range from Youth Small to Adult 3XL.
Other things to do at Watoga include: Laser Tag, Disc Golf, and our swimming pool heated by solar energy.
