VIPP: Winter Dinner at Chief Logan Lodge
A special afternoon and Winter Dinner at Chief Logan Lodge invites VIPPers to dine together and enjoy a special evening program with WVDNR Biologist, Sue Olcott. We’ll have a good meal, some door prizes, a memento, and fun. The cost is $20 per person. The front desk staff will take your information at Chief Logan Lodge to register for the dinner.
The evening program at 7:30 p.m. is open to the public. “Monarch and Pollinator Conservation: Ecosystem Genesis” focuses on WV’s interest in the state’s butterfly.
West Virginia hosts over 2300 species of flowering plants. Although many of these are pollinated by the wind, most are pollinated by insects or other animals, making them vital to the health of ecosystems and our own survival. Pollinators are integral to plant production, which supports everything else. If you enjoy gardening, bee keeping, and landscaping with flowers, this is an evening program for you.
Candy Payne and Lauren Cole are Winter Dinner hosts. Learn more about the VIPP program if you are not currently enrolled. See other activities listed.
