Twin Falls Nature Programs

At Twin Falls, we get outside to see, hear and smell nature with activities that are nature based.

Saturday, August 22, 2020

9:00 a.m. – Horsepen Knob Trail Hike
Meet at the trail head. This hike passes by a wide variety of habitat. Hopefully we get a glimpse of wildlife that calls Twin Falls home. This is a 2.5-mile loop trail with some steep sections both up hill and down hill. Sturdy shoes should be worn. Bring insect spray and your own water. (YPP)

11:00 a.m. – Pollinator Zone Hike
Meet Tammy at the Ballfield parking area for a short walk to the pollinator zones to see what insects and birds use the area. Tammy will help you learn more about an insect everyone seems to love, the Monarch and why its numbers are not what they used to be. Allow 45 minutes. This program requires fair weather, contact front desk for cancellations. (YPP)

12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Nature Center is open.
Everyone who enters the center is required to have on a face covering and respect social distancing of 6’. The Nature Center is small in size so only 4 people are allowed in at a time.

12:00 p.m. – Cliffside Trail Hike
Meet Cheyanne at the Cliffside parking area for a hike on the Cliffside Trail. This is a 3-mile hike with moderate elevation change. Allow 1.5 hours. Bring insect spray and water. (YPP)

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.- Nature Center is open.
Everyone who enters the center is required to have on a face covering and respect social distancing of 6’. The Nature Center is small in size so only 4 people are allowed in at a time.

Ask the naturalist about YPP activities and how youth 6-16 can earn a Young People of Parks certificate.
