Thursday Activities at North Bend

The place to be for outdoor fun and nature is North Bend State Park. Activities on Thursday include:
- 11:30 a.m.– 1:30 p.m. Enjoy arts and crafts and a chance to meet some of our wildlife friends at the Nature Center. Take a look around and marvel at the mysteries of nature.
- 2 p.m. Make an animal puppet out of recycled materials. Bring your friends and put on a puppet show with your creations. A great craft for kids of all ages and skill levels. Meet at the Nature Center. (1 hour) YPP
- 4 p.m. Learn about the differences between frogs and toads. We’ll search the River Run Campground Pond for these critters. Meet at the Nature Center. (1 hour) YPP
- 5:30 p.m. Bump, set, and spike your way onto our sand court for a fun game of volleyball. Even if you’ve never played the sport before, come out and learn. A great way to spend time with friends or make new ones! Meet at the Nature Center. (1 hour)
Young People for Parks Program (YPP) This is an Environmental Education Program for children 6 – 16. Children need to attend three YPP activities during their stay at North Bend. Children will receive a certificate and a prize.
