10:00 a.m. Lost in the Woods Nature Movie and Fingerpainting* – Join the park naturalist, Paulita Cousin, for this live video combined with photography of an old box turtle and a lost raccoon that together learn the truth about a little fawn who sleeps alone in the woods. About 45 minutes. YPP

1:00 p.m. West Virginia History Film* Enjoy some West Virginia History. YPP

10:00 a.m. Backyard Bugs* – This backyard adventure is about 16 different types of arthropods. About 30 minutes. YPP

10:35 a.m. Bug Art Craft* Use your imagination or stencils with paint to make an insect-themed picture. FREE

1:00 p.m. Butterfly vs Moth Nature Video* About 30 minutes. YPP

6:00 p.m. Elakala Trail– Join the park naturalist, Paulita Cousin, in Blackwater Lodge Lobby for this walk along a boulder- and root-strewn trail under the canopy of conifers. About one hour., one mile. YPP

8:00 p.m. SPECIAL SHOW! Bil Lepp! Storyteller, Humorist and Liar- Laughs and grins! Hear and see Bil’s humorous, family-friendly tall-tales and stories that have earned the appreciation of listeners of all ages and from all walks of life. Though a five-time champion of the WV Liars’s Contest, Lepp’s stories often contain morsels of truth which present universal themes in clever and witty ways. Live and funny at Blackwater Falls State Park Lodge. There is no charge to attend and laugh yourself happy!

10:00 a.m. Trees Nature Film* This interesting film explores about how trees “talk” to each other and other amazing facts about these silent sentinels. About 30 minutes. YPP

10:30 a.m. Tree Cookies Craft* Use paint, markers or heat to decorate a wood slice. Small craft fee.

2:30 p.m. On the Wings of Monarch Film* About 1 hour. YPP

3:30 p.m. Butterfly Craft*– Use watercolor paint to create a beautiful butterfly. Small craft fee.
