Sunday Activities at North Bend

The following activities are schduled:
- 10 a.m. Go on a short walk to view some of the local avian residents of the park. Learn how to use binoculars and get an up close look at these captivating creatures. After bird watching, we’ll return to the nature center and make a set of bird wings! Meet at the Nature Center. (1.5 hours) YPP
- 1 p.m. Make a duct tape wallet. A fun and simple craft for kids of all ages and all skill levels. Take a break from the heat and get crafty! meet in the Nature Center. (1 hour) YPP
- 2 p.m. Hike to Tunnel 13. The trail is flat and easy to walk on, following an old railroad line leading to the North Bend Rail Trail and Tunnel 13. Learn about railroad and local history along with plants and wildlife. Meet at the Nature Center. (1.5 hours, 1.5 miles) YPP
- 4-6 p.m. Come to the Nature Center to enjoy arts and crafts and a chance to meet some of our wildlife friends. Take a look around and marvel at the mysteries of nature.
Young People for Parks Program (YPP) is an Environmental Education Program for children 6-16. Children need to attend three YPP activities during their stay at North Bend. Children will receive a certificate and a prize.
